MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST TRAINING (MOST)

Expand your computer knowledge and employment possibilities with training in Microsoft Office Applications.

    • Word
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
    • Access
  • Become a Microsoft Office Specialist
  • Improve report and presentation skills
  • 2 Ontario Secondary School Diploma credits if required
  • Marketable skills

Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board
M.O.S.T. Professional Certificate and Updated Transcript
Computer Certificate when 2 computer courses completed: BTA30I and BTX4CI. Participants can write the Microsoft Office Specialist exams at an extra cost (Optional).

Curriculum:

  • Role of technology in business
  • File management
  • Preparation of business documents, worksheets & reports
  • Word processing (mail merge, graphics, tables, styles)
  • Spreadsheets
  • Presentation software (business marketing tools)
  • Databases (tables, forms, reports, queries)
  • Electronic research and communication
  • Web Page and Web Site design

Applicants must be:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Landed Immigrant or Canadian Citizen
  • Computer literate i.e. must be able to type and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & the Internet.
  • If applicant is an ESL student must have at least Level 6 English.
