Do I need my own computer?
If you choose to do your learning in class, then you are welcome to use the free computers available to Loyola students at each site. If you want to take online courses from home, you'll need to have your own computer.
Do Loyola students qualify for free public transportation?
Loyola students do not qualify for a student bus pass; however, Loyola staff can often help students get a free or reduced transit pass through government programming.
Are there any age restrictions to becoming a Loyola student?
You must be 18 years of age or older to register.
What high school credits are available?
Loyola offers senior secondary school credits (Grades 11 and 12) at the workplace and college level. Credits are offered in 6-week terms through both online learning and in-class instruction. As well, you can earn high school credits through co-operative education and/or if you are working, credits can be earned through your employment through our Return Earn and Learn (REAL) program.
Do you offer in-class or online learning?
We offer both. Students can choose if they would like to take a course in class or online. Both are offered in 6-week terms and are directly supported by a teacher.
What is the difference between the English as a Second Language (ESL) program and the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program?
Both ESL and LINC are English language training programs for immigrants wanting to learn how to speak, read, write and understand English.
LINC is available to immigrants who are permanent residents and do not have their Canadian citizenship yet. Refugees may also qualify for the LINC program. Those who qualify for this 0program may be eligible for assistance for the cost of childcare and transportation.

What is the cost?
All courses are free, with the exception of the Personal Support Worker (PSW) program, though there are times that the PSW program is funded by the government. This funding will be communicated on our website. In addition, there is a non-negotiable $50 student activity fee required per student per year at the time of registration.
